aiRFürste

aiRFürste is een DTO (Declared Training Organisation) NL-DTO-001, gevestigd op Lelystad Airport, opgericht door Ruben Fürste. 

Wanneer is aiRFürste opgericht? 

Mijn eerste vliegles, proefles, was op 28 januari 1995 op een Katana DV 20. Het meest bijzondere moment voor een vlieger is het moment dat je voor het eerst solo gaat, voor mij was dat op woensdag 10 mei 1995. Binnen het jaar had ik mijn eerste vliegbrevet, een A2 en kort daarna mijn A1 waarmee ik ook buiten Nederland mocht gaan vliegen, de wereld zag ik al onder mij doorschuiven. Ondertussen heb ik al heel wat hele mooie vluchten mogen maken in diverse landen waaronder Ierland, Engeland, Kanaal Eilanden, Duitsland, België, Frankrijk, Denemarken, Zweden, Finland, Hongarije, Spanje, Portugal, Amerika, Mexico, Zuid Afrika en Australië. In 1996 ben ik begonnen als balie medewerker bij een vliegschool op Lelystad en ik heb toen in de tussentijd mijn commercieel brevet (CPL) gehaald met Instructeurs aantekening en al vrij snel daarna ben ik examinator geworden.  Op 20 juni 2011 heb ik aiRFurste ingeschreven bij de kamer van koophandel als vliegschool. In de eerste instantie om online Radio Telefonie (RT) praktijkles te geven, een hele stap dat wel, een eigen vliegschool, nooit gedacht. Al snel volgde de uitbreiding naar het aanbieden van LAPL, PPL, Night Rating en Class Rating SEP.

De luchtvaart is dynamisch ook als het gaat om de regelgeving. De Rijks Luchtvaart Dienst (RLD) was tot 2001 verantwoordelijk voor de nationale luchtvaart regelgeving die vanaf dat jaar overging in een soort van tussenfase namelijk de  JAA (Joint Aviation Authorities) om vervolgens over te gaan in het huidige EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency). Alle vliegscholen moesten omgezet worden van een Registered Training Facility (RTF) of een Flight Training Organisation (FTO) naar een ATO (Approved Training Organisation) volgens die EASA  normen met de nodige consequenties voor met name de kleine vliegscholen. Heel veel uitgebreide boekwerken en extra functionarissen die verplicht waren binnen de organisatie. Dit was niet in verhouding tot de werkzaamheden die bij een kleine vliegschool horen. Vandaar dat aiRFürste over is gestapt naar een DTO op het moment dat de gelegenheid zich voordeed en aiRFürste is de trotse eigenaar van DTO nummer 001!

Samen met twee freelance instructeurs zorgen wij ervoor dat wij elke dag les kunnen geven en omdat aiRFürste kleinschalig opereert is er veel aandacht voor de cursisten. Er wordt les gegeven op een Cessna 172, een betrouwbaar 4 persoonsvliegtuig dat overal ter wereld te huur is. aiRFürste werkt samen met een aantal vliegtuig eigenaren om een diversiteit aan vliegtuigen aan te kunnen bieden voor de verhuur met als bijkomend voordeel dat de vliegtuigen over het algemeen goed beschikbaar zijn.

When was aiRFürste founded?

My first flying lesson, trial lesson, was on January 28, 1995 on a Katana DV 20. The most special moment for any pilot is that moment that you go solo, for me it was on Wednesday, May 10, 1995. Within a year I had my first pilot’s license, an A2 and shortly thereafter my A1 with which I could also fly outside the Netherlands, I already saw the whole world pass beneath me. In the meantime I have had some very nice flights in various countries including Ireland, England, Channel Islands, Germany, Belgium, France, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Hungary, Spain, Portugal, America, Mexico, South Africa and Australia. In 1996 I started as an assistant at a flying school in Lelystad and in the meantime I got my commercial license (CPL), shortly there after my Flight Instructor’s Licence and soon after that I became an Flight examiner. On June 20, 2011 I registered aiRFurste at the Chamber of Commerce as a flying school, initially to teach online Radio Telephony (RT) , a big step I must say, having my own flying school, never thought that would ever happen. The school soon offered LAPL, PPL, Night Rating and Class Rating SEP. Aviation is very dynamic when it comes to regulations. Until 2001, the Dutch Civil Aviation Authority (RLD) was responsible for the national aviation regulations, which from that year passed into a kind of intermediate phase, namely the JAA (Joint Aviation Authorities) and subsequently transferred to the current EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency). All flying schools had to be converted from a Registered Training Facility (RTF) or a Flight Training Organization (FTO) to an ATO (Approved Training Organization) according to those EASA standards with all sort of consequences for the small flying schools in particular. Lots of paperwork and extra officials where required within the organization. This was not in relation to the activities that belong to a small flying school. That is why aiRFürste switched to a DTO when the opportunity presented itself and aiRFürste is the proudowner of DTO number 001! Together with two freelance instructors, we ensure that we can teach every day and because aiRFürste operates on a small scale, there is a lot of attention for the students. Lessons are taught on a Cessna 172, a reliable 4-person aircraft that can be rented anywhere in the world. aiRFürste cooperates with a number of aircraft owners to be able to offer a variety of aircraft for rental with the additional advantage that the aircraft are generally readily available.
